Single Skin Steel Cladding

32/100 Box Profile Single Skin Wall & Roof Cladding

Our Box Profile cladding sheet (also known as single skin side cladding) has a captivating appearance, comes in your choice of finish & colour and is cut to a length of your choice.

These 32/1000 profile sheets have 6 castles with 2 strengthening ribs in the troughs, a profile pitch of 200mm with a profile depth of 32mm. The profile has a cover width of 1000mm (also known as 'after overlap') and is manufactured cut to length (in 1mm increments) - just enter the length of your sheets in the relevant box when choosing your options.

Comes in a choice of finish from a Galvanised Steel (shiny effect), Polyester (colour coated) or with a Plastisol (leather grain effect) finish. You can choose between 0.5mm or 0.7mm thickness.

Note: this single skin side sheet will require the castles to be facing inwards, with the troughs on the weather side. Click on the Specs & Product PDF's tabs above to read more information and view any product specific attachments that relate to this cladding profile.

Single Skin Product data

Box profile single skin steel cladding (sometimes called 'box section' cladding) is a modern alternative to traditional corrugated (wriggly tin) metal roofing sheets. Initially used on industrial buildings its modern appearance has resulted in box profile steel cladding becoming more popular with domestic users.

Our 32/1000 box profile steel sheet cladding is 32mm high and offers a max. cover width of one metre once laid. This profile is available in galvanised only and galvanised steel with an eco grey primer, polyester paint or PVC plastisol coating.

Anti condensation liner explained

This simple method of rolling a flock material to the underside of our single skin box profile and corrugated sheets reduces the risk of condensation* and drastically cuts the cost associated with full insulated panels.

* Anti condensation requires good air circulation around the sheet to allow water held by the liner to evaporate away. If you are using foam fillers you should notch them out to allow air circulation, alternatively we can quote on the manufacture of custom foams with mesh inserts to allow ventilation. Minimum recommended roof pitch is 10° for liner to be fully effective.

We add DripStop anti condensation liner to our roof sheets as a standard because it is a cost effective method of handling condensation problems in many buildings.

Controlling condensation

When the temperature and humidity conditions in the building reach dew point, moisture will condense on the underside of an uninsulated single skin roof sheet. If there is a lot of condensation, water droplets will form and start to fall. The traditional method for eliminating build up of condensation is to insulate the roof so that the temperature on the metal sheet never reaches the dew point.

DripStop anti condensation liner is pre-rolled onto the sheet provides a much more cost effective solution than full roof insulation.

Advantages of anti condensation lined single skin sheets

  • Saves up to 25% on traditional solutions
  • Durability (Drip Stop anti-condensation felt liner is not susceptible to ripping, tearing or deterioration like standard insulation and vapor barriers are)
  • Easy to clean (with hose or pressure washers)

The Drip Stop solution

Single skin roofing sheets lined with Drip Stop anti-condensation material provide a medium for trapping this moisture in the specially designed pockets formed in the membrane. Drip Stop holds the moisture until conditions go back below the dew point. The moisture is then released back into the air in the form of normal humidity.

Drip Stop is self adhesive felt liner that is applied to our single skin sheets during the roll forming process. This means that the sheets will arrive with you with Drip Stop already in place, ready to be installed immediately. Your sheets are then installed as normal.
