Delivery
Deliveries are made using a variety of vehicles including rigid wagons, HIABs and articulated lorries, depending on the scale of the delivery.
The steel work and single skin cladding is delivered from the manufacturer to our supplier yard in Bewdley in the West Midlands. It is then packed onto transportation and sent directly to you on the agreed date.
Composite cladding is sent directly from the manufacturer, Kingspan.
Roller doors, personnel doors and windows are also sent directly from their respective manufacturers.
By default, deliveries are made without assisted off-load i.e you will need to unload the wagon yourself. If you require an assisted off-load you must let us know beforehand.
Please note - Castle Steel Buildings will negotiate the best available date and time for your delivery however we have no ultimate control over this as it is arranged by our supplier.

Aborted Delivery (Demurrage), Re-delivery & Storage Charges
We will always try to get your delivery to you at a time that is convenient to you and your site arrangements, however we require clients to be prepared to accept delivery of materials around 4 weeks or so from approving the final drawings.
If you require longer to prepare your site you must notify us of this beforehand so we can delay manufacture as our supplier does not have space to store your materials until you are ready.
We will assume you are ready to take delivery on the dates we advise unless you notify us otherwise. We cannot change the date of your delivery at the last minute. If we are unable to deliver your building once it has reached our holding yard, you will be liable for storage charges.
If we deliver your building materials to your site and the wagon is turned away you will be liable for demurrage charges by the transportation company and our supplier will also look to charge storage for your building. You will also need to pay again for a new delivery.
Demurrage and re-delivery are separate charges and cn vary depending on the location of the delivery site.
Storage charges can be up to £350 per week plus VAT.
